Part of that speedy rise is due to out-of-the-box-office thinking, such as establishing a first-of-its-kind production company, which today announced the stars who have been cast for its first project.
Bob Bassett, the Chapman Filmed Entertainment CEO and Dodge College dean, announced that the company's debut thriller Trigger will star veteran Hollywood actor Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs, The Bourne Ultimatum, Training Day), Stephen Tobolowsky (Memento, Groundhog Day, Buried) and Chris Coy (Random, Greenberg, Hostel: Part III).

Shooting is scheduled to begin in California this month with Chapman alumnus Basel Owies in the director's chair, working from a script by Max Enscoe. Chapman Filmed Entertainment's Travis Knox (The Bucket List) is producing.
What the film school in Orange describes as "a sustainable, fully-functioning independent film production company," Chapman Filmed Entertainment plans to produce four to six pictures per year in the "micro-budget range" ($250,000-$1.5 million). Helping to keep budgets that low are the film school's gear, other resources and, of course, bodies.
