Pope Heisenberg 1? Five Comic Papal Tweets

pope-heisenberg1_square.jpg
During yesterday's round-the-clock coverage of a Vatican City chimney, comedians tweeted their own version of play-by-play, before and after the selection of the new pope. My favorite was a single word from Pee-wee Herman ("FRANCIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!") that had me spit-taking into my laptop screen even before I opened the photo of his Big Adventure nemesis. The hits still keep coming on Twitter, so after the jump are five faves in the light of a new papal day.

@Mitchell_YoungYou've never heard the Narcocarrido "Negro Y Azul: The Ballad of Heisenberg?"

@MatthewTCoker @Mitchell_Young I choose not to give Cox my money, so 'Breaking Bad' references fly over my head.

I actually thought the joke was a reference to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, and the Photoshop was of the early 20th century physicist.

@Mitchell_Young @MatthewTCoker That actually might be partly correct, too. If memory serves, it was a baddie mispronouncing Eisenberg that prompted Walter White to go by Heisenberg, whose work he knew. And "uncertainty" has marked his life since his cancer diagnosis.
