It took a lengthy investigation to bring Louis Richard Wood to justice, explains the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Wood is alleged to have supplied the drugs and been present when 21-year-old Emma Wihlborg died, according to sheriff's deputies, who arrested him on Monday based on an Orange County grand jury indictment.
He's being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
