The Garden Grove Police Department is scheduled to hold a DUI/drivers license checkpoint from 9 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday.

Your guess is as good as mine as to where exactly vehicles will be stopped as the agency isn't disclosing the location.

Of course, if you know where this blessed operation is going to be held, you are certainly welcome to share the locale with us in the comments section.

Garden Grove cops know it's an inconvenience to motorists, but they agency claims checkpoints are a proven DUI deterrent and that officers "will strive to delay motorists only
momentarily."

if you are plucked from the line and prove to be under the influence, you "can expect jail, license suspension, and insurance increases, as well as fines, fees, DUI classes, other expenses that can exceed $10,000," according to Garden Grove police.

Funding comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
