Hugh Hewitt and Dennis Prager Rip Off ¡Ask a Mexican! with 'Ask a Jew' Event!

I do not listen to OC's third-rate, conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt because he just became too predictable: Scalia great and Dubya great, Obama and Obama horrible. But every couple of months, I check out his website to see what he's bloviating about, just in case I need column fodder.

And that's how I discovered Baby Hewie is ripping me off.

Next weekend, Hewitt and fellow conservative blowhard Dennis Prager will set up shop at Mariner's Church in Irvine for something called "Ask a Jew," which is obviously a ripoff of ¡Ask a Mexican!--my infamous column in which I address any and all questions about America's largest and spiciest minority. The horror!

"Dennis and Hugh, apart from being prominent and insightful voices in the public square, are old friends," reads the press flackage. "We're offering you the rare opportunity to sit in on a timely conversation these two might otherwise have over dinner or, perhaps, a cigar."

WEAK SALSA . . . maybe I should do the same and slavish former Chapman University School of Law dean John Eastman with loving sycophantic slobber--YEAH, RIGHT. And, as usual when it comes to any attempted ¡Ask a Mexican! ripoffs: Unless you're anyone but Steve Allen, you've stolen my bit!

Prager has been doing the "Ask a Jew" seminars for quite sometime.  It kind of goes back to his "Religion on the Line" radio shows he did years ago where he would have a Rabbi, Priest, and Protestant pastor get together on a radio show and talk about issues.

"my infamous column". Yeah, you can say that again! I love it when you get slammed.

"Ask A Mexican", yeah right! You were born in Anaheim! What part of "Mexico" is that?

In your little mind, all non "Latinos" are "Gabachos".

Admit it, you're a "bigot for hire".

Yeah because nobody ever once thought of the phrase "Ask A Somebody" before Gustavo.

You could trademark it or something, so he would have to ask your permission or pay you a royalty or something.  Or at least say he could say please and thank you.

The episode where that line about Steve Allen comes from, which I believe was "Krusty Gets Kancelled," is absotively and posolutely one of the funniest of a show that has many, many, many funny episodes.

Prager isnt so bad...if not funny to listen.  When he and Adam Carolla get together, its pure podcast gold.  Two blowhards yapping it up

Sure they stole the name - but if anybody asked them the same kinds of offensive and ridiculous questions that you routinely deal with, I'll bet they'd plotz.  The name sounds the same, but you don't get quality unless you go for the real deal :P

What is it with these establishment Republican flacks and their Judeophilia. Jews regularly vote 75-80% Democratic, and that hasn't changed despite the Republicans rimming them and their Israeli brethren repeatedly, over the last 20 years or so.

James Baker had it right.

@Mitchell_Young The Jew-Dem vote was down to 64% for the 2012 election, at least slow progress.  And if Kevin James had made the runoff in LA, the Repubs would be signing up to do actual rimjobs.
