Alfredo Landaverde Gets Year in Jail, Probation, Sex Offender Tag for Flashing His Junk at Girls

After pleading guilty to exposing himself to girls walking to Santa Ana schools, 48-year-old Alfredo Landaverde was sentenced earlier this week to a year in jail, fives years probation and a lifetime of having to register as a sex offender.

The Costa Mesa resident copped to seven misdemeanor counts that included indecent exposure and child annoyance.

He was arrested in December after 10 girls, ages 14-17, reported a man in a white minivan had flashed his junk at them as they headed to Valley and Godinez Fundamental high schools in Santa Ana on four separate mornings between Oct. 3-Dec. 6, 2012.

In some instances, Landaverde masturbated while smiling at the girls.

The Orange County District Attorney's office notes registered sex offenders are banned from parks in the county where child safety zones have been designated.
