Gustavo's Latest "Orange County Line" for KCRW: On San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station!

I usually don't like to tell people what our coming cover stories are (unless you're my Facebook friend, in which case I like to post pictures of layouts of especially hilarious features), but I can tell ustedes that this coming Thursday will be a doozy: a profile of Ace Hoffman, the legendary activist who has long tried to have the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station closed down. The facility has been in the news a lot since it shut down temporarily last year, and it was the subject of my latest "Orange County Line" for KCRW-FM 89.9 yesterday.

Check out the part in which I tried to allude to the fact that San Onofre's domes resemble breasts. I actually made the explicit reference, but KCRW host Steve Chiotakis then brought up its legendary cameo in The Naked Gun, at which point we digressed mightily in merriment. That segment, alas, ended up on the cutting-room floor--perhaps for the better. Enjoy!
