Albert Anthony Morales, Percussion Teacher, Allegedly Got Sexual Beat on 16 y.o. Girl Student

A band instructor was arrested at his Diamond Bar home by Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives Tuesday for the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old female student at Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton.

Albert Anthony Morales, a 33-year-old who has tutored percussionists on various Southern California campuses over the past 13 years, is accused of abusing the student while working with the Lancers band in 2006.

Morales, who worked at Sunny Hills between 2004 and 2009, was being held in lieu of $350,000 bail at the sheriff's Walnut Station pending an appearance in court Thursday.

The Fullerton Joint Union High School District tells KTLA/Channel 5 news that Morales cleared a background check required of all school employees and volunteers.

But LA sheriff's investigators are looking into whether any other students were victimized by Morales, who also worked at Diamond Bar High School from 1998-2000 and Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona from 2011 until present.

Anyone with information that can help investigators can all the LA sheriff's Special Victims Bureau at 877.710.5273.

Somewhere, Tito Puente is hanging his head in despair.

@danmurray  Hey, asshole ... NOBODY has "a very weak understanding of the strict sexual boundaries required between adults and children." We firmly suggest you take your crap elsewhere ...

@danmurray - you should be ashamed of yourself to be using children's safety and predator panic to peddle your voodoo app. Although I am entertained by you abusing the OC Weakly for free ad space..... Regardless, perhaps you can explain what would happen when someone sues the school district for being denied employment based on your service and no other reason, or when someone who is cleared by your services does commit a crime.
