Leslie Keane, Laguna Woods City Manager, Popped for DUI in Laguna Hills

Laguna Woods City Manager Leslie Keane knows very well that the countywide, wintertime, Orange County Sheriff's Department-led enforcement against drunken drivers is working.

That's because the 64-year-old was popped by sheriff's deputies late Friday for suspected DUI in Laguna Hills.

Keane was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Friday, which means she was among the 411 arrested going into the holiday weekend since the "Avoid the 38" task force began winter operations.

She was booked into Orange County Jail and released around 1 a.m. Saturday, according to jail records.

Laguna Woods' top administrator since 1999 is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 21.
