@Dave_Lieberman First Dave, that is a subset of whites. A very small subset. But even there, the GOP bends over backwards to attract 'minority' votes. Look at Rubio, Ted Cruz, Allan West, etc. They can belong to the Republican party. On the other hand, when Pete Stark tried to join the Congressional Black Caucus, he was rejected.

BTW you might just as well say there is a huge group dedicated to furthering the desires of wealthy older whites, the Democrats. Look at the wealthier districts of Connecticut, Westchester County New York, no doubt a lot of New Jersey. Full of bankers and wall street types. Deeply 'blue', deeply white, and I'm pretty sure they know which political party serves their interests.

@Mitchell_Young There is a huge difference. Groups trying to get minorities to register to vote are working towards the goal of getting these non-assimilated ethnic groups more involved in our government. They are not preaching dominance of a particular race and are not degrading any other races.

Politics is about power and using that power to transfer resources. Hispanics, Asians, etc want more power to benefit their own groups, and since power is zero sum that necessarily injures other groups -- especially those who, like whites, fail to see what is right before their eyes.
