Take "The Pledge" through the Pro vs. G.I. Joe organization, and you'll spread the support by fulfilling weekly, personal goals to, say, do a set number of pushups, pullups or squats--whatever.

If you convince family and friends to attach a donation for veterans organizations to that goal--say, a dime for every pushup completed--all the better. But Pro vs G.I. Joe co-founder Greg Zinone explained to me the primary focus is on the person accomplishing the physical feat.
"We of course would love for everyone to help raise money as part of the pledge," Zinone says, "but our main reason for this is to get the word out and give people a cool way of showing their support for our troops and wounded warriors--and by getting active in the process."
He provided this video featuring "The Bad Boy of Huntington Beach" to clarify even more:
Ortiz's Huntington Beach gym is among those hosting pledge participants. Says Zinone, "My hope is that gyms, local companies, schools, individuals and families jump on board and make this thing big in our community."
