Newt Gingrich, "Wrong" and "Dumbfounded," Stumbling into Nixon Library

Categories: Politics

A "wrong" and "dumbfounded" Newt Gingrich is coming to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda later this month. The former House speaker and 2012 candidate for the GOP presidential nomination used those adjectives to describe his pre-election prediction that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide.

The partisan Nixon Foundation is hosting Gingrich and his wife Collista Gingrich, who are both hawking books.

Lil' Newtie is pimping Victory at Yorktown, the final in a series of novelizations on George Washington that were co-written with William R. Forstchen.

The Mrs. has Land of the Pilgrims' Pride, a story geared at 5 to 8 years olds about an elephant who goes to a library to learn about the 13 colonies. It's apparently based on a true story. Would that be a taxpayer-supported library?

Mr. Gingrich, who had Romney winning more than 300 electoral votes and 53 percent of the popular vote, has said that Republicans have to investigate how they are getting election procrastinating so wrong. You think? To Gingrich's credit, he did correctly predict Washington winning his presidential election.

The Gingriches will sign copies of their books at The Dick following the 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 presentation. Tickets are $6-$8, not including book purchases. Go here for more details: http://nixonfoundation.org/events-calendar/.

"Newt Gingrich, "Wrong" and "Dumbfounded," ...", now there's a change. Not that he was wrong but that he would admit it even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Newt went from getting $20 million in CASH MONEY from Sheldon Adelson (with a promise of $80 million more) to selling $6-$8 tickets to pay off his $4 million campaign debt in *less* than a year.

WOW. Where did this myth that Republicans are good business people come from?

 @skmind "To the moon."

Funny, in ancient times, before the 'demographic shift' we are all hearing about, we were able to actually go to the moon. Now we can't even keep the space shuttle flying.

This world would be a better place if you libs relocated to the moon.

Blind fool, can't you see he is the exception?  Republican business men and corporations are the ones that provide jobs for you irresponsible libs who don't want to pay taxes.  Do you even have a job?  Or are you one of those fools who waste time occupying public property?

 @ForrestGrump your the fool. you listen to a man who's credits himself as a historian but this book is full of inaccuracy. I just listened to newt on the colbert report where he butchered probably the most important speech in the history of the United States. Look it up George Washington gave a speech to his officers, so they wouldn't rebel against america. NOT THAT HE WANTED TO BE KING. I am pissed that so many stupid people actually listen to this man. Have a great four years :)

 @ForrestGrump Yes I am employed!

I get paid by Republicans too busy to stand in line to get books signed by other Republicans. Very lucrative with the thousands of terrible books out there by conservative authors, and the even more terrible human beings who read them.

 @mcoker  @ForrestGrump What's the difference between 'exporting jobs' and flooding our own labor market with Mexicans, Guatemalans, Bangladeshis, etc? At least when jobs are 'exported' I don't have to pay for 'education', Section 8, 'free' school lunches, etc.
