A pregnant, Taiwanese-American professional poker player out of La Habra turns 29 Friday, a birthday she will likely spend in an Australian jail cell after being popped at Brisbane International Airport for allegedly trying to smuggle in 2 kilos of meth hidden in her luggage. Jennifer Mills-Winkler is being held without bail pending a Nov. 23 court hearing.

After her arrest Sunday afternoon by Australian Federal Police, Mills-Winkler was charged with importing a border-controlled substance and with possession of a commercial quantity of an unlawfully imported drug.

Her court-appointed lawyer says Mills-Winkler denies the luggage seized by customs officials belongs to her, according to various Australian news accounts.

She listed her occupation as "poker player" on court documents, according to the reports that characterize Mills-Winkler as being in an early stage of pregnancy.

Caught with 2k's of meth? Cancel Christmas. She's not walking away from that one. Some squid back in 1982 got caught on Westpac in Japan carrying 2 lbs of heroin. They said he was going to weld it into the amphibious transport vessel we were on. Obviously, the show must go on and we all departed. The genius may still be in a Japanese prison for all I know. Just say no to drugs kids.

In Australia the toilets flush in the opposite direction, but Stupid is spelled the same way.

Soon as they outlawed online poker you knew this was going to happen. No big online site to pay the bills for travel and entry fees - now the people who are "pro" and suck at poker have to deal meth to make it past variance and bad skills.
