ORIGINAL POST, SEPT. 5, 6:10 P.M.: Have you seen this woman?

Michele Ann McKay was last seen leaving her home in the 25000 block of Alta Loma in Lake Forest around 10 p.m. Monday,  and her family members are "extremely concerned" because she "has been has been distraught over recent medical and financial issues," according to an Orange County Sheriff's Department statement.

What she left at home before taking off on a full tank of gas in a 2011 gray/black Ford Escape (California license plate No. 6PSK061) is also distressing: her wallet, cell phone and credit cards.

Her direction of travel is unknown, according to deputies, but McKay is known to frequent the coastline between Laguna Beach and Seal Beach, as well as canyons and wilderness areas.

Her full description: Michele Ann McKay, who has also gone by Michele Ann Schaffer and Michele Ann Gonzales, is 56, 5-foot-2, 130 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and a tattoo of a rose on chest. She is possibly wearing a black and white dress.

Hey, that's good info -- we in South County need more landmarks like that, touched with tragedy. It'll be like our Tallahatchie bridge.

Lemme guess: no health insurance and in foreclosure.

Hope they find her okay.

@beckaincali I wished her no ill will.  I was commenting on what might possibly move someone to do such a thing.  Ufa!

@20ftjesus Could you be any more of a douche? You do realize her family can see this.
