Jose Alderete, OC Sheriff's Jailer, is Alleged Target Store Peeper

The old "Shoe Camera Taping Up a Lady Target Shopper's Skirt Trick"; that's the second time I've fallen for it this month.

Speaking of fallen, that's exactly what has happened to non-sworn Orange County Sheriff's Department jailer Jose Alderete, who is accused of being a Fontana Target store peeper and feared to have had his shoe cam rolling elsewhere.

A 32-year-old woman was shopping with her husband at the Target in the 16900 block of Slover Avenue in Fontana Monday when she noticed a man following her and acting strangely, according to the account of the Inland Empire city's police agency.

Shocked to discover the stranger had a cell phone taped to his shoe, which he was trying to position under her skirt, the woman called out to her husband, who looked over to discover the would-be shoot in progress.

As the hubby rushed over, the sick Fellini started busily deleting images off the cell phone before being chased out of the store and tackled in the parking lot, where the husband held him until police arrived. Fontana cops identified him as 38-year-old Alderete, who was arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct with a camera.

But other charges may come as police claim to have found on Alderete's cell phone videos of other females at different locations. Anyone who suspects to have been secretly recorded by him, or recalls from the booking photo the same guy acting strangely, is asked to call the Fontana Police Department at 909.350.7700.
