Family, Friends and Supporters Hold Candlelight Vigil for Slain Anaheim Man

During the vigil, which saw people closing off sections of La Palma Avenue with yellow tape as the crowd marched through the street, a man identifying himself as Diaz's brother told those gathered not to turn over cell phone images of the shooting to law enforcement.

"Por favor, don't get rid of those videos," he shouted. "Those are for us."
Today the Orange County District Attorney's Office issued a press release asking for witnesses who may have footage of the shooting to contact a special hotline. But mistrust of law enforcement has been augmented amid allegations that officers attempted to buy footage from witnesses in the aftermath of the shooting.
Unlike the previous night's gathering, no dumpsters were set on fire, and during the vigil, the police presence was minimal. However, as news vans began filing out of the area at 11 p.m., a large group of officers observed massing several blocks away in the parking lot of Zion Lutheran Church on North East Street could be seen moving into the area.
