Julio Salgado, OC Weekly Contributor, on Cover of Time Alongside Other DREAM Act Students

Just one of Salgado's many works on the DREAM Act...
Talk about fortuitous timing: on the same week Time devoted its cover to the plight of DREAM Act students--those undocumented saints who are usually more American than their gabacho counterparts, save the legal part--President Barack Obama issued an executive order granting most of them a stay. Everyone and their mami knows it was a cheap political ploy to guarantee the Mexi vote (kinda how Loretta Sanchez did it back in 2010), but kudos are still in order for making Know Nothings crazy.

But bigger kudos are in order for Julio Salgado, the OC Weekly contributor (and my former producer on my late, not-so-great KPFK show), Long Beach native, and noted political cartoonist on all matters DREAM, who was one of the DREAMers on the Time cover.

Julio is the handsome chap to the left of the W--the W, of course, standing for "WERK IT, SON!" Congrats, Julio!

For once, I think you may have a point. lol. But that still doesn't make it right. So let me ask you this, do you think Obama is discriminating against those that don't meet the criteria?

I will be really interested to see what you think when he decides to ignore laws that you think are important. The bottom line is, you can't just pick and choose which laws to follow.

Obama is pure genius. Didn't he say something like "they are American in their minds, American in their hearts, just not on papaer." So, if I think I am a billionaire, if I feel like a billionaire, then I should be a billionaire. You dems & libs were probably jumping for joy when the announcement was made. Just wait until he decides to ignore some law you are in favor of just to get even more votes. You can't just decide which laws to follow and which not to. He is supposed to be a president, not a dictator.

It's funny how everyone ignores what is happening these days. It's like there is too much information and we just all don't have enough time to process it all, so we can't take lessons from even the small stuff anymore. If we tried to read everything that was published every day we couldn't even do that. Like this massive Cornell clinical study that benefits Chromadex (CDXC) that no investor knows about. http://weill.cornell.edu/news/releases/wcmc/wcmc_2012/06_14_12-2.shtml
