Disgusting OC Child Molester Wins Conviction Reversal
| Flores: Hell, yeah! . . . Wait? . . . What? |
In 2006, Flores sodomized and orally copulated a child under the age of 10.
He denied the charges, but following the work of the Orange County District Attorney's Office a 2009 jury found him guilty of three felony sex crimes.
In 2011, Superior Court Judge M. Marc Kelly sentenced Flores to a term of 40 years to life.
Unhappy, the molester appealed the convictions.
But justices William Rylaarsdam, Richard Aronson and Raymond Ikola did agree with the child molester's stance that he'd wrongly been convicted of the third, overlapping count: committing continual sexual abuse on a kid.
The court reversed that conviction, which must have delighted Flores until he remembered that Judge Kelly had stayed any punishment on that count.
Upshot: Despite the victory, the 31-year-old man will continue to serve his full 40 years to life prison sentence.
