Dexter Tagudin Villanueva, Rapist Who Cried Like a Little Bitch When Convicted, Gets Life

When a jury, after deliberating two hours, convicted Dexter Tagudin Villanueva in November of raping and robbing a 59-year-old Anaheim woman at knifepoint, he cried like a little bitch.

No need to reach for the tissue box: the 47-year-old showed no emotion today when he was sentenced to 35 years to life in state prison.

The woman was alone on her couch watching the last 15 minutes of Law and Order in her East Briarvale Avenue home late at night on Aug. 10, 2009, when Villanueva slithered in from an open back door.

He was wearing a bandana over his face and carrying a knife, which he would use to threaten the woman before raping her, at times putting a pillow over her face. As she begged for mercy, he asked where her purse was, stole her cash and threatened to kill her if she called police. He then fled.

  • Villanueva's public defender despicably tried to argue at trial that the woman, who was alone because her husband was on a business trip, wanted it.

Guess the defendant thought the jury would buy that because he had a good, long sob in open court when he was found guilty of felony burglary, assault with intent to commit a sexual offense and sexual assault and making a criminal threat. Several sentencing enhancements were also found true, including use of a knife to commit a crime.

His lack of tears today was understandable: sentencing guidelines had him facing a maximum of more than 100 years behind bars.

Guy is a creep, no doubt. But I do have my doubts where this country is heading. As reprehensible as his deed is, with punishments like this, what is incentive for letting the victim live and have a chance of id'ing him? The lines are being blurred, and the next victim may not get the chance to live another day.

Aren't pretty much all crimes preventable if the perps didn't do them? lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
