Tom Leykis Adds "Fullerton Police Department-Style" to His List of "Take Me Out..." Audio Clips

Thumbnail image for TomLeykis2_sm.jpg
On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of talking about the Kelly Thomas murder on The Tom Leykis Show. I had Facebooked Tom the horrific beating that the Fullerton police inflicted on Kelly; Tom was so disturbed that we talked about the incident for two hours, taking phone calls from apologists and non-apologists alike.

Leykis is a self-described supporter of cops, but the video so disturbed him--"worse than Rodney King," he repeated again and again--that he's now out to ridicule those killers. And his best way to ridicule is to immortalize the target as one of the "Take Me Out..." clips listeners traditionally request after ending their call, like "Kobe style" (Kobe Bryant's weak-ass apology to his wife after cheating on her backed by the sounds of a moaning woman) and so many more.

Now, behold "Fullerton PD style"

Tom Leykis Show - Fullerton PD Style

It's, of course, just a snippet of the horrific beating Fullerton officers inflicted on Thomas.

Leykis told me that supporters of killer cops Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli are already furious, which means we should ask the Professor to play it ALWAYS. He also gave the Weekly  this statement:

As I had explained on the show yesterday, several wiseass listeners asked me if I was "too much of a pussy to take people out Kelly Thomas-style."

After thinking it over, I decided that although we take people out Whitney Houston-style, Kelly Thomas did nothing to bring on this outcome and, as such, he is a true victim who shouldn't be made fun of.

However, the audio of his beating, hard as it is to hear, is our way to honor his memory and to tell the story: that we believe that this is the way that the city of Fullerton and, especially its police department, do business.

It's painful to hear this clip, for sure. And we mean no disrespect to Kelly's memory or to Ron Thomas. On the contrary, I hope that this clip will continue to remind everyone about the changes that need to come in Fullerton and anywhere else in which police brutality is a reality.

If this was a black man, sold out black man extortionist Jessie Jack off Jackson, and Asshole Al,would be flying to L.A by now. There has,and always will be corruption in our Police Departments. It is covered up,and diverted by candy coating their actions by dancing around issues with verbal detours with confusing ignorant people with excuses. You can take shit, and put perfume on it,and it will still be shit.

are they pressing charges against these cops?

As much as Tom is a played out attention-whoring twat, I have to agree with him on this one. The cops need to be brought to justice.

In my opinion, Tom leverages whatever he can to make money off it. If slavery returned, he would invest in it. If it sells, Tom will use it. This is something he can get some traction and benefit from so, of course, he does. It's just that simple.

There’s so many things I want to say on this matter. I want people to hear, read and comment about this. So much of our lives are “controlled”, “monitored” or “interrupted” by the people who let these C.O.P. s ( Criminals On Patrol ) on the street. Law Enforcement officers just don’t seem to be trained properly on how to deal with the public. All the way back to Rodney King incident it proves that many officers just are not mentally prepared to hold the position. I bet there’s a lack of periodic mental evaluations on the officers that roam the streets. It reminds me of old Disaster Movies ,the people who can fix the problem never take it seriously until people DIE. If you read this you should also watch the Video of another homeless man (John T. Williams) being killed by Seattle C.O.P. Ian Birk in August 2010.

The C.O.P. s that killed Kelly Thomas definitely were wrong and if we get Capital Murder for killing a Law Enforcement Officer, then they should get the same charge for things like this. With that said, I would support a Law suit they started saying their lack of training and supervision got them in this situation. We need to hold everyone connected to the Police accountable for this behavior (I bet their families could give some insight if honesty was present). We have the power to change this. “The Government should fear us, we shouldn’t fear our Government”. Keep in mind, until changes start you or someone you care about could be next.

Ron Thomas is a jerk and his son is a punk. If he wouldnt have challenged the officers and complied he would still be alive. He wanted to fight and get away with his words of, "start punching dude" everyone is poor Kelly, but his big mouth got him in trouble. Like father like son. Once you start fighting with cops you are not going to win. Kelly Thomas didn't want to go to jail so he fought. You lost dude. You should of not resisted. Not only Fullerton Police, every police department work that way. A good jury will see what he was a big mouth fool who wanted it his way...not!

THANK YOU, Tom for having the balls to step up to the plate and get the word out about those f*cking killers of Fullerton Police Department. I'm a regular listener, and now I respect you even more. Keep up the "public service" you do.

This really is a social tragedy that we have to prevent by educating not only law enforcement, but society as a whole.  There still are many schizophrenic homeless people out there, let's be kind.

in tom's world, it's okay to poke fun of certain crimes but not others. he chuckles when his audience requests to be "taken out" "laci peterson style". she was an innocent victim too. why the double standard?

the callers and tom get a great chuckle out of how tasteless it all is.

i do like tom's show and am a regular listener, but with each brain dead caller requesting to be taken out "kobi style", i like it a little less.

The video is without a doubt, one of the most horrendous things I've ever seen.  The 1st cop had it in his mind to "fuck him up", right from the start.  I could barely get to the end of it, realizing I was watching & listening to a man being purposely murdered by policemen. They should've been charged with 1st degree Murder and conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder.

Right on brother- we need strong voices like Tom Leykis that aren't afraid of money grubbing criminal leaders and will tell it like it is!  Too many people nowadays tend to accept fouls by corporations and lawmakers alike- and now law enforcement. We can't let society be played like fools!  THANK YOU TOM LEKIS!!

this video and audio are improtant tools in weeding out corruption in the police force.  i cringed evey time the audio was played, and i also got angrier with each playing that these pigs are so remorseless over what they did and aren't peading guilty...

Tom Leykis is a great man. He is a self made millionaire and he taught me to no longer respect women. One day I will be rich, fat and lonely like him.

That's right GigiGirl!! Also, Ron once used his jujitsu skills to apprehend his son, wrestling Kelly into his car from a Yorba Linda park using wristlocks. "A lot of things I did with Kelly were very painful. But what are the alternatives?” -Orange Coast Magazine, March 2012

So, in your world, if a person "challenged" a cop, that person can legally have the life beaten out of him by several cops.  However, here in the real world, the threat of criminal liability and loss of jobs for the cops as well as civil liability for the city tends to put the kibosh on this sort of beating from happening too often.

I looked for the edit button to correct your many false assertions but for some reason they have allowed only you to edit your own nonsense. It's a shame on one hand because you're obviously a complete idiot who wouldn't know a fact if it showed up and knocked on his door but on the other I do respect their stance. Freedom of speech is for everyone... even complete fools like yourself.

He was not murdered.  He was tortured to death which is different.  Each and everyone of these police officers involved should be up for the death penalty since anyone of them could have stopped the situation whenever they chose to but they decided to ease him, beat the shit out of him with a discharged taser and further beat him until he was near dead but he was dead....all he did was take a ride to the hospital to go die.  Any one of these police officers goes free and they might as well walk everyone of them free.

Peterson style is my favorite. I know that's in terrible taste but it makes me laugh every time.
