[UPDATED with Missing Man Found:] Have You Seen Vo Van Nguyen?

​UPDATE, MARCH 28, 5:41 PM.: Missing from his Costa Mesa home since Sunday morning, 78-year-old Vo Van Nguyen was found by two mountain bikers this morning on a trail about a mile into Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park in Trabuco Canyon, authorities announced.

"Nguyen had no shoes and was wearing only one sock," reads a statement from Costa Mesa Police Lt. Paul Dondero. "He was disoriented and had trouble communicating."

Responding Orange County sheriff's deputies recognized Nguyen and rushed him to Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Mission Viejo, where he was treated for dehydration.

Nguyen's family was also contacted, and along with Costa Mesa PD they thanked the community for the many tips that poured in after the patriarch was reported missing. The family and authorities still have no idea how he wound up in the nature park.

The Costa Mesa Police Department and the family of Vo Van Nguyen are reaching out to the public in hopes of locating the 78-year-old who was last seen around 10 a.m. Sunday at the home he shares with the family.

Complicating the search are the facts that Nguyen suffers from dementia, is in need of heart medication and speaks only Vietnamese.

He left his home in the 2900 block of Mendoza Avenue (near West Baker Street and Mendoza) without telling anyone, according to family members, who warn Nguyen may seem confused if he is confronted.

Nguyen is described as 5-foot-5, 140 lbs., with graying black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt, black pants and brown shoes. This photo of him was taken two years ago:
