This is a much better tactic than trying to prevent a speaker from saying whatever he wants on a campus, so I appreciate students are on the the right path.
I don't know if these are the same two Israelis that gave a talk in Santa Cruz a couple weeks ago. If they were I would have liked to attended this event based upon what a friend who went that event shared with me. I heard they shared the speakers shared their own experiences opinions and had an open discussion with anyone in the audience.
It is a shame the students who walked out didn't take advantage of a open discussion given this opportunity.
I know they will say they were being talked at so they wouldn't be seen as equals but that kind of is their mindset -- that they are the underdog or whatever. Just talk to people. See if there can be any mutual understanding. Maybe the speakers might learn something from you and you can learn something from them. Don't just consider them the others or "war criminals". If there is ever going to be peace, there will have to be discussion and understanding of a different perspective.
