Donations Down, Reruns Up at Crystal Cathedral

Crystal Cathedral may want to consider sowing a financial seed into the Trinity Broadcasting Network. After all, the TV ministry's holy hucksters promise that those who do will reap financial fruit.

The house that Robert H.Schuller built apparently was built on shifting sands, as donations to Crystal Cathedral are reportedly drying up.

The Los Angeles Times reports today that donations in December -- typically the Garden Grove-based ministry's biggest month for giving -- came in to the tune of $2.3 million, a 68 percent dropoff from December 2010.

In the meantime, the church's TV ministry, "Hour of Power", will go into reruns over the next few weeks.

A church spokesman told the Times that the move was made while the ministry re-organizes.

Whilst speaking of sowing seeds, the building kinda looks like a huge penis at this angle...

I work behind it. It's a giant middle finger to reason and good taste.

True. Really funny considering one of the beefs the early Protestants had with the Catholic church was its garish displays of opulence...

The TBN building is a "middle finger", too! :-P
