Michael Kamrava, the Beverly Hills fertility doctor who lost his medical license last year partly due to his controversial treatment of Octomom Nadya Suleman of La Habra, has reportedly filed for bankruptcy.

TMZ cites Chapter 7 papers Kamrava filed that claim "he has only $17,628 in assets . . . and a staggering $1.2 million in debts."

Suleman was the first mother to gave birth to surviving octuplets in January 2009, but that brought great public scorn when it was discovered she was single, unemployed and already had six children. It didn't help matters when Octomom seemed more hellbent on becoming a celebrity than a good mother.

Meanwhile, a California Medical Board case was built against Kamrava, who implanted 12 embryos in Suleman at once, despite her obviously being an unstable candidate for multiple births with such a large family already. Experts agree Suleman should have been steered to counseling.

The physician's treatment of an older woman who also went on to deliver multiple babies was also cited by the board in revoking Kamrava's license in July. He's tried and failed through court to get it back. Suleman, who initially supported her doctor's fight to keep his license, has of late accused him of mistreating her.

His assets include three computers and a printer ($800), furniture ($5,000), kitchen appliances ($3,000), and medical books ($300), according to TMZ, which lists among his "endless" creditors credit cad companies ($20,000), the car loan holder on his BMW ($40,000), his office landlord ($850,000) and tax collectors ($60,000).
