Why Does John Urell, Pedo-Priest Protector Supreme, Sit on the Board of a Catholic School?

If there were justice in this world, Monsignor John Urell would've been in San Quentin long ago, in prison in a culture where child molesters and their protectors aren't welcomed with open arms like they are at the Diocese of Orange. But there is no justice, and so not only does John Urell remain a monsignor, not only does he remain a pastor at St. Timothy's in Laguna Niguel, but he also continues to sits on the board of a private Catholic elementary school in the county.

Does Urell have no shame? The answer, of course, is no.

Urell sits on the board of directors of St. Anne's Catholic School in Laguna Niguel, a private school not directly affiliated with the Orange diocese whose directors have a long association with pedo-priests. No less a pendejo than Urell helped get a pedo-priest to the school, and St. Anne's is the main feeder school to JSerra High, currently involved in its own pedo-scandal and an academy helped in its early years by notorious priest-rapist John Lenihan.

Why the parents of St. Anne's would allow a man like Urell--who openly protected known pedophile priests, who trashed sex-abuse victims, a man who should've been sent to prison long ago--to sit on its board of directors is beyond me. But, hey: it's their choice to surround themselves with scum. Heckuva job, Brownie!

Gustavo, I am real busy. Could you please cite your reference where John Urell admits protecting proven homosexual predators? I am interested to see that proof and since you have no doubt done all the work, why not share it with the blog so everyone can get on the same page?

This whole blog is disgusting and full of shit. It's well known that Urell didn't know anything about the child molester priests back in the day and if he knew then what he did now he wouldn't have done what he did. Wisdom cannot be granted. It must be earned. Sometimes at a cost.

I'm an almost 83 yr old and a convert to the RCC(at age 12) I spent at least 60 yrs being the best RC I could be. Raising our 4 children in this church and doing all the volunteer ministeries that I could. It made me a "good catholic" im my eyes but now I wonder what God's eyes saw.I believe HE saw our hearts and heard all our prayers . We heard many things over the years, that were very sickeningly derogatory about priests, nuns and brothers from the Religious in our family(Dominican Nun and Holy Cross, Notre Dame Brother) that we would not believe. We thought it was just sour grapes. It wasn't In 2001 we had "the knowledge" we needed to "know" what they had told us was True. They both died premature deaths, of broken hearts, as they loved the Lord as we did. But guess what? We took our Blessed Lord with us when we left this den of eniquity. "The Kingdom of God is Within!" It, (the sexual abuses in the RCC World Wide) has gotten worse on a daily and hourly basis. How anyone can stand to even go into a RCC is a mystery to me. We can't. I used to be a daily communicant. God is a forgiving God but there is a sin that is called the "Unforgiveable Sin" I believe the sins against the Innocents of God's world is that very sin. Who would ever believe a child over a trusted religious adult? No one. But we Know now so somthing must be done , as quickly as possible. It's been over ten yrs. now that I have been blogging on this subject. Someone has to be listening. Get the picture people, this is the work of the devil and all his minions.

QUESTIONS FOR ANYONE WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH: Does anyone know if Mon. Urell ran to former Santa Margarita Catholic HS teacher Michael Karl Sandoval’s rescue when Sandoval was arrested for 10 felony lewd and lascivious conduct crimes committed against a minor child, when he was arrested on May 15, 2002? Afterall, Sandoval checked himself into a hospital in Pasadena when he found out he was being arrested.... and Urell escaped to Canada for anxiety-related matters when the pressure started to heat up. PATTERNS.... too bad that teachers and victims of Diocesan abuse are not offered the same type of medical excuses when they are trying to survive Diocesan crimes and judicial abuse. Sandoval’s Santa Margarita Catholic HS Department Chairwoman at the time is well known buddies with Mon. John Urell. When Sandoval pled guilty to all ten felony crimes on November 8, 2002, there was no media coverage and the Diocese of Orange, OC Sheriff and OC District Attorney never issued any type of public alert or notification. OCSC Judge Pamela Iles sentenced Sandoval to 365 days in jail for ten felony crimes.... something smells really wrong about this light sentence, especially considering there was no press coverage or public safety alert. Bishop Brown and his attorneys have nothing to worry about, obviously. The Diocese of Orange, the OC Sheriff, the OC District Attorney and the OC Board of Supervisors share a cozy religious relationship.... They all share the same attorneys, share information, defame anyone they see fit to target. What is great RICO enterprise Brown has going. Go Brownie….. continue to deceive the faithful in the pews and collect your $57 million for the Crystal Cathedral.... allow your attorneys to destroy the lives of victims, their families and your employees who report child endangerment as mandated by law. Your actions make many physically ill...... please retire!

Good question Gustavo.... everyone knows that once you protect sexual predators employed by the Diocese, you have earned LIFE TIME employment, without accountability for failing to protect children, adults or employees. Think about all the school administrators who protected Michael Harris, Jeff Andrade, Hodgman, Schildknecht, Pecharich, Lenihan, Lyons, Widera and Henry... THEY ARE STILL EMPLOYED BY THE DIOCESE OF ORANGE ten years after one crime after another. Brother William Carriere, the Diocese of Orange Superintendent for 17 years, who allegedly was fired by Bishop Tod Brown in February 2003 for non-disclosed reasons, had lots of knowledge about sexual predators supervised by the Diocese of Orange.... and Carriere never really retired as previously disclosed. Carriere now sits as an Executive Director for the Catholic school accreditation organization, Western Catholic Education Association. Carriere was the Superintendent of Catholic schools when a Columbine HS shooting tragedy almost repeated itself at Santa Margarita Catholic HS in 2001.... and never reported the crime to law enforcement as mandated by law--but that does not matter because the Diocese of Orange and the OC Sheriff's Department share the same attorney lawfirm--maybe they have a quid pro quo arrangement to protect one another. When you combine potential school violence and sex crimes against minor children that were repeatedly committed against unsuspecting children, families and employees, Carriere and Urell make a great team!!!!! Bishop Brown is no fool....obviously, as he rallies for the $57 million purchase Crystal Cathedral purchase. May God protect the children that are placed in Carriere and Urell's care, and the care of Bishop Brown and his disgraceful attorneys.... because parents still have no clue about what really happens on a day to day basis in the Diocese of Orange. Protecting crime is what rules.... not protecting children or employees.
