[PHOTO] The Virgin of Guadalupe Appears Inside the Big A!

• fresco--> bas relief, never been up on art terminology. 

• There's a neo-gothic monastery to the Virgen de Guadalupe in Cáceres, Spain, where the Virgen is carved into a rock fresco, complete with spiny background.  That city, btw, is off the beaten path but very very worth visiting (actually a UNESCO world heritage site, I beleive --but not to be confused with "Marques de Cáceres" which is a wine-maker from Rioja (Cáceres is in Extremadura). Used to be a Mexican (real Mexican) restaurant in Cáceres city called "La Malinche" , seriously. The owners were (are) from San Luis Potosí. Now that is la verdadera hispanidad.

• Oh brother... More proof that Gustavo lacks imagination.

• Why do they call her the "Virgin of Guadalupe?" There hasn't ever been a Mexican virgin girl under 14.

• Quit trying to ride on Arte's coattails, God. And stop ruining perfectly good car decals. 

• It means "hills" in Catalan (where the J is pronounced like ZH).

• Pujols looks like he's juicing to me -- just has better pharma.  BTW I seem to remember the last world series (make that the only world series) the team has won was pre-Moreno.

• I thought you Mexicans didnt like those Caribbean Latinos.  Is THE Mexican of record ball washing a Dominican?
