• Part of the behavior  of a teenager is easy to depressed. Some of the reason are family problem  and heart broken. Open communication with their parents are important to addressed any kind of problem.

• Update from the OCR: "A man believed to have attempted suicide by lighting his car on fire Monday and then fleeing has been identified as a missing man from the Cerritos area, officials said Tuesday."

• Not cool, man. You really think the ability to count his blessings is going to overcome whatever chemical weirdness happens in the heads of adolescents, whatever downward-spiraling circle of despair he'd built for himself? Usually I just chuckle at your <I>conneries</I> in the comments section, but in this case please for the love of whatever you hold dear, shut up.

• I'm not sure if any physical violence (or threat of physical violence) toward a child is ever necessary under any circumstances. I know a lady who was a wild teenager BECAUSE her parents beat her all the time. She had deduced that they were going to pummel her ("beat the devil out of her") no matter what, so what difference did it make if she was "good" or "bad"?

• FWB:  You make a valid point, but I prefer the tough love approach; indeed, if he needs attention, then what's better than a kick in the head to let him know you love him?  Too severe?  How 'bout a little bitch slap?  Honestly, haven't we become too soft on children?  Wouldn't a bit of good ol' fashioned corporal punishment save the day?

• From reading your post above, I will assume that you've never personally dealt with depression or have been suicidal at any time in your life. And so what if the kid lives in a more "affluent" neighborhood? Money doesn't buy happiness (or miraculously cure the clinically depressed), you ding-dong! I suppose you feel soooo good about yourself, an adult judging a confused teenager so harshly.

• Someone needs to slap that little bitch.  He's got everything, goes to good schools, lives in a nice part of town; yet, he does this for attention.  What a bitch. Mocking tone:  What happened to you?  Mommy didn't how you enough love?  Didn't give you enough tit when you were 5?  Someone needs to kick your teeth in.  Life aint easy so grow some testes and stop your bellyaching.  Fucking emo kid.  Shoot him and be done with it.  Have a nice day.
