With 2 of 4 Stolen Yorkies Returned, Owner Offers $7,500 in Rewards for Missing Pair

A 70-year-old Buena Park woman who had four Yorkshire terriers recently stolen from her, only to have two later returned, is now offering a reward for the other pair.

Linda Bush will give $2,500 for the return of the female puppy, but the bounty is upped to $5,000 for mother Staci, a Yorkie who was born with a cleft-palette, has been fed by her owner's hand for all eight of her years and requires daily medication for dry eyes.

Bush returned to her home in the 7900 block of Poinsettia after noon on Nov. 11 to discover she had been burglarized and Staci and the three pups were missing. Bush was frantic because all the dogs require special diets and medication, so besides Buena Park police the media were contacted to get the word out to the public.

Media coverage caused tips to come in to Buena Park detectives, who followed leads to homes in Los Angeles where two puppies were recovered Thursday. A man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property.

Detectives are still working the case, but in the meantime Bush has gone back to the media with her reward offer. "No questions asked, just please return them," she reportedly told the Orange County Register. "They can be dropped at a fire station or vet's office, just let us know where they are."

Anyone with information can call Buena Park police at 714.562.3902 or email Bush at bejaze@roadrunner.com.
