Occupy UCI Holds Campus Event

• UCI is a worthless school. I cant believe I wasted four years of my life. Why bother to protest for better education at this school when there are no opportunities in this place anyway. I am unemployed because UCLA students are preferred. Why? Because that school is better, even if there are people that are not as bright for being students at UCLA. Do not believe the lie that all UCs are the same; only UCLA and UC Berkeley receive all the state's money to finance and to preserve their reputation, while also depriving other UCs and students from recieving an equal education. I still can't believe that my fellow classmates were accepted to UCLA when they had not read a single book in their high school, how pitiful. You must either be in sports or work in the college office at your high school so that UCLA representatives put you in the priority list for admissions at your high school. That is the reality. How do you expect California to be competitive when the UC system is depriving many students because of its elitist ideology of reserving education for the elite institutions that represent it.

• It looks like that black guy has barely ever worked in his life, scrounges around town, begs from everyone and doesn't pay any taxes. What would a person like that care about the movement. Maybe he's just another occupy bum that wants a free place to stay and do drugs. Maybe his mom is tired of a grown man expecting her to support him. I say if you're gonna be so passionate about something, it should be real.

• Someone tell those fools to take a shower once in a while..I was in a bus once with them and they freakin stunk to high heaven.

• Actually, I'm partial to Etruscan basket weaving myself. 

• Basket Weaving degree probably more meaningful than Bank ATM technician zombie.  Better to opt out than pat yourself on the back for being a tool!   

• Where were the school protestors when the State Legislature was granting in-state tuition and access to grant funding to illegal aliens?  If the colleges and universities would focus efforts on counseling students on careers for the 21st Century, perhaps the kids would not be graduating with degrees in Art Appreciation, Social Ecology, Life Science, Music History, Philosophy, Basket Weaving and other worthless areas of study that have no job potential?  By eliminating all those subjects, or severely reducing them, think of all the money which could then be focused on teaching future job skills.  College might not be as much fun, but the students would graduate better equipped to deal with the real world of employment.  

• I went by the Irvine Civic Center location yesterday, and it's very quiet -- lots of signs, tents, but only about 15 people maximum.  I spoke with three folks and they all said they were weary (and looked it).
