Irvine 11 Team Appeals Conviction

• Who the hell appeals a petty misdemeanor conviction?  And; who the "F" is paying their attorneys?  CAIR?  

• To ASUCI: "Freedom of speech, on campuses and elsewhere, is rendered meaningless if speakers can be shouted down by those who disagree. There is simply no 1st Amendment right to go into an auditorium and prevent a speaker from being heard, no matter who the speaker is or how strongly one disagrees with his or her message." • The Irvine 10 (not 11) deserve what they got and now are just wasting time and resources to keep in the media. The ASUCI should be ashamed of itself, but what can we expect from a bunch of kids who are either on scholarships or are living off Mommy and Daddy's wallets. As an employeer, I am filing away their names to keep on a "Do not hire" list.   

• They were wrong to prevent an invited guest speaker from being heard and were wrong to lie to the university. Just do the community service and get on with your lives.  They have done nothing for the Palestinian people.  They only thing they did was reinforce the negative steotype that Muslim men are angry and unreasonable. If they wanted to do something for the Palestinians, they should get behind and support Fayyad, not make it a point to prevent someone from saying something on the campus.

• Oh GOD!  What a waste of time and money!   Michelle, can we now actually refer to them as the Irvine 10 since Mr.Kebir showed integrity and did the right thing.  The rest of them are acting like petulant teenagers!

• Shame on you ASUCI ! That was NOT peaceful protest!......

• That was NOT peaceful protest and democratic participation.
