For this year's
New Yorker Festival, a Bluth Family Reunion took place--and creator
Mitchell Hurwitz, along with
Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, David Cross, Portia di Rossi, Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor and
Jessica Walter gathered today, Sunday afternoon, in Manhattan for a sold-out panel.
Fans speculated what big news could possibly come out of the
panel--
probably something about that movie we've been hearing so much
about--but the official
New Yorker Twitter account just revealed some big news no one expected:
Arrested Development is coming back for one more season of television.

Weeding through Twitter, we're discovering a bit more info: Hurwitz has planned nine to ten new episodes of
Arrested Development to catch us up on what's happened to the Bluths since we last bid our untimely goodbyes. These new television episodes will lead up to the release of the film.
Bateman, who plays Michael Bluth, has also since tweeted
his confirmation:
Tears of happy, friends. We're ready, Hurwitz!
