2011 Bob Dornan Scary OC Hall of Fame Inductee: Barbara Coe!

Thumbnail image for barbaracoeclassic.jpg
No one except Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-Friend of the Taliban) in Orange County history has consistently proven to be scarier over a longer period of time than California Coalition for Immigration Reform head Barbara Coe--and even Dana has had flashes of sanity in his Bedlam brain. Shit, even Bob Dornan, for whom this prestigious award is named after, was right on more things than Coe, if only because he ran against Dana last decade (the scariest of my scariest is my...friend?).

But Babs? Pure, unadulterated scary.

Coe started her career with the Anaheim Police Department, getting let go for obsessing too much about illegals. She also claims said illegals killed her friend (or was it that they took away her friend's benefits? She's lying on some end), which spurred her into creating the California Coalition for Immigration Reform. They, of course, begat Proposition 187, the 1994 anti-Mexican resolution that states and municipalities have lamely tried to copy since.

The courts found Prop. 187 unconstitutional, but that never stopped Coe from exerting her evil influence. Many noxious individuals have sprung from her coven--Orly Taitz, Harald Martin, Allan Mansoor, Lupe Moreno, Jim Gilchrist (before Jim found the light and became one of her most bitter enemies), Ezola Foster, and so many more, a who's who of Know Nothings and pendejos. Coe has also evolved from just hating Mexicans to also trashing Muslims, gays, Sikhs, Asians--essentially anyone who isn't white and in their mid-50s and beyond.

Oh, and we can't forget the time she wished swine flu on President Obama. Congrats, Babs: the only thing scarier than you is the cigarette butts you leave littered wherever you go! How apt that the only thing that ever brushes her lips these days is the epitome of ugly, toxic death.

Shouldn't there be a veteran's committee for your Scary Hall of Fame? .... A hall without Dannemeyer, Briggs and Schmitz seems a bit like Cooperstown without  Ruth, Cobb, and Hornsby....And where's the love for Utt the Nut???

With Babs hopelessly addicted to sucking butts, she is thankfully self destructing.  Her death will be a lingering, terrible one, perhaps starting out with a tiny spot of blood from one of her hacking sessions, or perhaps as a headache that will not go away.  Both indications of lung cancer and the latter a metastatic cancer that has spread from the lungs to the brain.  Other delightful maladies this witch may encounter are such crowd pleasers such as emphysema, as this withered old bigot slowly drowns in her own vile juices, building up in her fatally blackened and disintegrating lungs - that feeling she can't catch her breath, and will NEVER catch her breath, ever again!  Such are the rewards for a cancerous two legged harridan that spews poisonous hatred whenever she cracks open that rotten, gaping maw of a cake hole on her wizened, leathery face. May she rot in hell for eternity.

I know this isn't the right place to ask, but I have a question for you. What do you call a 30 year old Mexican woman who isn't pushing a baby stroller?

Grandma.

Dornan was cuddly-scary, whereas Coe is just scary-scary. ;-)

Sounds like Gustavo Arellano is a total racist. and anti-American.   With all the good patriotic people we have of Hispanic heritage in this country, we don't need rabble  rousesr who do nothing but cause trouble and divisiveness.   My advice to Gustavo, if you don't like Americans and our culture, get the hxxx out go someplace else.Dave

"The courts found Prop. 187 unconstitutional,"

Actually, it was a federal district court, I believe, the lowest level of review. Then Grey (or is it Gray) Davis took a dive and failed to appeal the ruling up to the circuit and supreme court levels. Gray was, if you recall, subsequently recalled. The media made like  it was mostly due to the increase in car registration fees, but Davis's position on illegal immigration had something to do with it also.

And why oh why does G A and other 'Latino' whiners insist on saying the any measure against illegal immigration is 'anti-Mexican'? My guess is people who are so ethno-centric can't understand the concept of equality under the law. Proposition 187 would have affected Vietnamese illegal immigrants, Russian illegal immigrants, Armenian illegal immigrants etc. What is it you people say, "Deja de mamar?

Talk about hate -- funny hate, literate hate -- but hate.

"Hispanic?" What are we in--the Ford administration?

Dan Chmielewski

AP style dictates Hispanic but states that Latino or Latina are sometimes preferred.  It also encourages specific identification for Cuban-Americans, Puerto Ricans, or Mexican-Americans.  AP suggests following the writer's preference, so it's Gustavo's call on this one.

BTW there is a "Congressional *Hispanic* Caucus" and the Pew *Hispanic* Trust.

Or do they get grandfathered?

How'd you like that new Bee Gees album, Gustavo?... ;-)

Hey Gustavo, can you point to me ever wishing death or illness on anyone? At any rate you are missing the point -- I think 'hate' is an overused term, if this puto wants to wish a horrible death on someone, that's his right. I think it makes him look worse than the object of his scorn.

Except when Maxine Hong Kingston uses it.

The funny thing is Chinaman is the exact translation of what the Chinese call themselves.  Chung guo ren. Well, not exact -- it actually mens 'center-country-men' , literally ethnocentric!

(I studied some Chinese in my 'yellow fever' phase).

So is it still frowned upon to use the words Chinamen, or Orientals?

I mean, according to AP?
