Hide Your Kids, Hide Your Values: Michele Bachmann is Coming to Costa Mesa This Friday

• I think that Michelle Bachmann is just crazy enough to win the Presidency. I'm going to vote for her in the 2012 Presidential Primaries and see what happens. Maybe she will ascend into the role of President and continue where George W. Bush and other Republicans left off, and complete the work of nosediving this country into the ground. Hurray for Bachmann and the Tea Party movement! Let's destroy this friggin country already! I say "Yes, we can!"

• Went to Michele's appearance this morning and there were around 100 people there and a lot of the people were reporters.   Not a good sign that she can't attract many people to an appearance in "Conservative" Orange County.

• come on people, lets let her know we don't want their half truths around here!

• Hmmmm. I guess it's true then. You can lead a person to knowledge but you can't make them think. Good thing we have people like Limbaugh Beck and O'Reilly to tell us what and how to think. Because having an open mind with independent thoughts is to damn much work. 

• Just go see her and enlighten yourself while you can....she will never win.

• Why, because his political views are not aligned exactly with yours? He's offering "food for thought". What do you ever bring to the table?

• What! But just think about all the people tha are going to run out and get divorced if this passes! Or something, I can't imagine what "Defense of Marriage" would imply otherwise.

• Breaking News!! Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin just announced as poster girls for newly formed GOP offshoot BAP (Borderline Airhead Party) ...

• She's entitled to her own views, and she's entitled to express them... but the funny thing about that First Amendment is I'm entitled to mock her when I think they're stupid, and Chasen's entitled to mock her when he thinks she's stupid, which is pretty much anytime. Why do the Republicans always put forward these awful public speakers? I mean, she can't be as stupid as she comes across in public. I feel embarrassed for her every time she makes one of these ridiculously stupid gaffes. The Soviet Union is rising? I mean, how was the USSR even in her head when it's been gone and buried for almost twenty years? Obama emptied the Strategic Petroleum Reserve? It doesn't matter that these were off-the-cuff remarks. She's got speechwriters for a reason, and a President who makes mistakes like that is an embarrassment to the country. (Hello, President Son-of-a-Bush.) She represents a group of people who seem to think that the test for absolutely every law is whether the Founding Fathers wanted it, ignoring the fact that the Constitution they purport to love has been amended fifteen times since those august personages rang down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. The Founding Fathers didn't codify equal protection under the law, suffrage for anyone except landowning white men, freedom from slavery (no matter what Bachmann said to that group in Iowa), or the election of the Senate by public vote. She's entertainment; she's fluff; she's not a serious contender for the Presidency, because even if by some miracle she managed to lock up the Republican primary, she's so polarizing that she'd hand the election to President "Sudden Swing Toward The Center" Obama in no time at all.

• He was a bit overly critical, but Bachmann is pretty much a narrow-minded nutjob.

• Was chasen marshall (author of this article) born with his head up his rear or did it get stuck up there looking for asinine crap to write like he wrote here? Whether you agree with Michele Bachmann she is entitled to her views, and we will vote accordingly.  Would be interesting to see how mr. marshall would stand up against her in a debate where Mrs. Bauchmann could respond rather being a pin head who writes and runs.
