Are You Ready for Some Checkpoint? Costa Mesa Holds One During Monday Night Football Tonight

​The Costa Mesa Police Department no longer discloses the locations before holding DUI checkpoints, but at least the cop shop still informs us when they are happening.

Such as the one tonight at 6.

The stop in search of unlicensed drivers and those under the influence of drugs or alcohol will continue through midnight, so that should take in viewers of both Monday Night Football games televised in bars tonight.

Another checkpoint is scheduled somewhere in Costa Mesa from 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, through 2 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.

The operations are funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
