Surf City Realtor Bill Cuppy, the listing agent for the "Jabba the Corrupt" abode at 1935 Lake St., did not confirm the latest twist, Torelli Realty of Costa Mesa did.
The Huntington Beach Independent has the scoop.
The two-story, 3,250-square-foot home had been listed at $949,000.
UPDATE, AUG. 22, 10:29 A.M.: The Huntington Beach home of bloated ex-Bell city administrator Robert Rizzo found a buyer in just over a week--and before listing photos went up for the abode that was offered for $949,000.
Multiple offers poured in for the house at 1935 Lake St., Realtor Bill Cuppy of Pier Realty reportedly said.
The contract with the prevailing buyer was finalized on Saturday, but Cuppy can not provide more details about the transaction--including the buyer's identity--until the home gets out of escrow, reports Orange County Register Huntington Homes blogger Marilyn Kalfus.
Just last week, Kalfus led Register readers on a virtual tour of the home, which includes such custom upgrades as a Wolf range, stained and leaded glass windows and doors and a living room with a custom library.
Not that Rizzo had trouble affording the rehab as Jabba the Corrupt earned $800,000 in annual salary running tiny Bell, or $1.5 million when benies were factored in.
Kalfus reports the indicted Rizzo and his wife moved out in June.
ORIGINAL POST, JUNE 22, 7:31 A.M.: Bloated ex-Bell city administrator Robert Rizzo, who put the "pig" in "pig at the trough," has put his Huntington Beach home on the market.
According to the Pier Realty listing, "Jabba the Corrupt" wants just shy of $1 million--which is just shy of what he made in yearly salary and benies from tiny Bell--for his four-bedroom, four-bathroom Lake Street pad.
NBC LA has the scoop on the listing for the home that's been the site of protests, toilet papering and even whipped creaming.
