Like a caged animal, former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak was shown today on television behind bars, in a hospital bed and certainly much weaker than your typical Arab world strong man. Watching Mubarak like zoo visitors were members of Anaheim's Little Arabia community.

As the Facebook photo on the next page shows, viewers packed into Nara Bistro and Nubia Cafe for the live coverage of Mubarak's corruption trial.

Though weak, Mubarak did manage to wag a finger in the air to deny all the charges against him, which include being complicit in the deaths of protesters who helped drive him from power.

The viewers in Little Arabia were not alone in being glued to TV sets. Millions in Egypt reportedly watched state television's coverage of the trial.

Both spots were packed until 4 am. If only the Saudis could hand in Ben Ali to Tunisians so we can all see him behind bars as well!
