I Heart Puppies Does Not Heart Animal Activist
I Heart Puppies shop owner Brooke Ann Bradford filed the request Friday in Orange County Superior Court to stop alleged harassment by Carole Davis, the West Coast director for the Companion Animal Protection Society.
Amy Senk has the scoop for Corona del Mar Today.
Davis has visited I Heart Puppies and alleged that at least one dog there came from a Midwestern puppy mill. Through her lawyer, she denied harassing anyone, saying she is merely exercising her free speech rights.
Besides previously sending a letter demanding that the store stop selling dogs from breeders and convert into an adoption shelter, Davis organized an upcoming protest of the shop at 2801 East Coast Highway.
"We have irrefutable evidence of the inhumane pet factories that supply her store," Davis reportedly told Senk. "It will not work. I will not be intimidated and will continue to tell the ugly truth about I Heart Puppies."
I Heart Puppies has been criticized by animal activists since about the time it opened on July 1
