Court Orders Immediate End to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled today the U.S. military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy must be immediately lifted.

The legal battle over the 20-year-old policy is still being played out in courts, but the justices say it must end now that the Obama administration says it's unconstitutional to treat gay Americans differently under the law.

The Associated Press has the scoop on the ruling that stems from a lawsuit filed by a gay rights group over the government timeline for eliminating the ban.

To further justify the immediate end of "don't ask, don't tell," the justices also cited Congress having repealed the policy in December and the Pentagon beginning to certify that it is ready to welcome gay military personnel.

Of the 1.4 million people on activeduty about half live off-base not residing on military installations; additionally,of the roughly 1 million members of our Reserve Forces, almost every city andtown in America has a member of the National Guard or Reserve, as well asmilitary recruiters, living in them.  TheDADT Repeal Review Panel recommendations reach into every on and off-basepublic school in America. The goal is to effectively 'educate and train ourmilitary families and communities supporting them to accomplish successfulimplementation of an Armed Forces GLB manning policy.'

The Army's new slogan should be "never leave your buddy's behind."

Israel is 3 times more conservative than we are and they allow gay people to serve... America -- land of the free and redunkulous!

Who cares what Israel does? America is hardly free, we have more laws than any country in the world!!

Who are you to complain about unnecessary laws when you support those ridiculous, racist gang injunctions? I guess only WASPs have the right to free association, right?

Oh, please, look at the perpetrators of actual crimes in OC. Those committed by 'skins' are so few and far between as to be insignificant. In fact, the 'justice' system is the leading creator of 'skins' because whites who through stupidity land in jail or prison need the 'white supremacist' gangs to stay alive and keep from getting sodomized, which of course is pretty much a death sentence too.

Yeah, and what about the Neo-Nazi and Skinhead gangs? How many of them have been served with these injunctions? My guess is zero. I suppose none of them are career criminals? Please.

Well, if the Mexicans and niggers would stop being in gangs and being career criminals, gang injunctions wouldn't be necesssary. Ever think of that?

In Israel they serve in the front and not in the rear.
