Disney California Adventure Debuts New Entrance

​As we first reported in December 2010, Disney California Adventure debuted their new entrance over the weekend. The oversize letters spelling out "California" have been long gone (removed Jan. 4), but the brand new turnstiles are here--and we totally miss the old entrance already.

New turnstiles at Disney California Adventure: Eh.

The new entrance takes its inspiration from the Pan-Pacific Auditorium, a landmark structure that once stood in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. The auditorium was destroyed by a fire in 1989.

Strangely enough, an almost full-size replica of the Pan-Pacific Auditorium façade located in Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida burned down three prior to the fire that destroyed the real thing.
