| Elbert Kyung Ma |
Brian H. Lee was leaving 24 Hour Fitness near the Buena Park Mall around 10:15 p.m.
The attack was swift, vicious and orchestrated, rendering Lee defenseless, although he was able to scream for help. The 22-year-old Buena Park resident later died at a local hospital.
Homicide detectives have a suspect, Elbert Kyung Ma, who remains at large and is considered "armed and extremely dangerous."
The Buena Park Police Department says through witnesses they have discovered Ma and Lee were acquainted with one another "and the attack was a result of an ongoing dispute over an unpaid debt."
Ma is currently wanted on a parole violation, and police claim he has indicated to family members that he does not wish to return to prison. That's why he's considered dangerous.
He is described as 5-foot-6, 153 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Buena Park Police Department at 714.562.3847.
