Scientology 'Enemies List' Leaked, With More than a Few OC Residents Listed

Our sister paper, the Village Voice, posted last week about the recent leaking of a Scientology document listing the names of more than 100 people who aren't in the good with the Clear anymore. "In the document, dated Jan. 22, 2010, an [Office of Special Affairs, Scientology's covert-operations wing] executive writes that some new facilities are opening up in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and she wants to make sure that certain people in the Western U.S. don't show up to the festivities," wrote Voice editor Tony Ortega, who has been tracking Scientology for more than 15 years.

The question remains, though: what does Scientology have against the OC residents on this list? Details to come . . .

Janet Reitman's excellent new book "Inside Scientology"  says that Scientology is essentially a fundamentalist religion.  The Hubbard scriptures which prove this important adjective when  defining Scientology are luckily leaked for the public to read:http://unchain.gr/scientology-...Chuck Beatty, ex Scientology staff trainer (1975-2003):

I understand Jason Beghe being on their enemy list but why Scottish singer Susan Boyle?  :)

Scientology has kept lists of its enemies since the 1950s. Among the earliest is a list of Scientologists L Ron Hubbard sent to the FBI suggesting that the people therein (including his first wife) were communists. Every cult needs its enemies to manufacture a sense of coherence amongst members and to divert attention away from the actions of its leader, Scientology is no different. Its just bigger, better financed, and well organised.

Now here's a question; what self-professed 'religion' keeps a list of 'enemies'?

Haha.  It's a different Susan Boyle.

You win!  You have the #1 correct answer."Every cult needs its enemies"

Nothing else you need to know.  Well, if you want to know the whole story, with All the names,  I just finished reading Janet Reitman's "Inside Scientology".

You Just Can't Make This Stuff Up.  I think Scientology should win some kind of award for Best Cult of the 1950's or maybe ever.

The #1 enemy of scientology is a well round education that includes studies on critical thinking, logical anaysis, and just about any science class.

I'm positive there are kooks from other religions that keep such lists as well. Scientology isn't really any goofier than any other religion...just younger. There was once a time when Christianity was deemed a "cult" too.

But we aren't just talking 'kooks' here. We're talking about a self-proclaimed 'religion' who's own materials state that they should make lists of perceived 'enemies' of Scientology. And to destroy them 'quietly and without sorrow'.

I also know of no 'religion' that has it's own paramilitary wing, like Scientology's own Sea Organization. Ex Scientology Kids has a long list of stories from people who were in the SeaOrg and trust me... you WILL change your mind after reading a few of those stories. Read Astra Woodcraft's especially. Then come back and say Scientology is deserving of it's tax exempt status. Especially since they get tax discounts those of other religious groups DON'T get. Like deductions for 'religious education'. Google 'Scientology Sklar'
