Gustavo Gets Interviewed for Reason Magazine, Talks Reconquista and Anthony Quinn

Reason is one of my favorite publications, right up there with the Fortean Times, Harper's and the International Socialist Review. Their politics are nearly like mine: Voltaire-esque commitment to speech of all kind, love of irreverence, anti-imperialist, anti-Drug War and redevelopment, pro-open borders, etc. (we only differ on the love of money and Ayn Rand).

So I was thrilled when the Reason gang asked me to sit down with Nick Gillespie, editor of their website, who interviews celebrities, interesting minds--and now me--for Reason.tv, their collection of YouTube conversations.

After the jump, cabrones!

The idiocy of Reason type libertarians promoting the very immigration that leads to more government spending e.g. the Santa Ana school district where *all* the kids get 'free' school breakfasts and lunches, is staggering. Your open-borders cheap lawn care costs taxpayers a llot, Nick. The position is so illogical that I've come to believe that the cosmotarians represented by Gillespie, Will Wilkerson, etc are just more Caspers trying to be 'down' with 'people of color'.

I am also perplexed that Arellano claims this deep connection with Mexican immigrant workers of the 1930s, yet his mother is an immigrant. I already knew his father was an illegal, so I figured his mother must have been his 'roots' into old OC. But unless she had him when she was 60, that timeline just doesn't work out.

What is this nonsense about lawn care prices? It isn't cheap. My dad, an American citizen, charged good prices to mow lawns in Orange County. He was never run out of business by illegal immigrants. He eventually quit because of his knee problem.

If white people want to mow lawns, go out and do it.

Mitch: See, unlike you, the Reason guys actually believe in America, not Whiteyland such as yourself!

Actually, Will Wilkerson doesn't believe in borders at all -- he's a one worlder. That's okay, but it isn't 'believing in America'.

BTW, what gives. From reading your stuff of 'sunkist memories' , and various comments, I got the distinct impression that at least part of your family had been in OC a very long time. (Disclosure, my hasn't, they were part of the great white wave of 'back east' folks in the 1950s and 60s. ) But this interview seems to indicate otherwise.
