It was a long weekend for the LBC, but on Friday, friends, family and fans flocked to New Hope Church in Long Beach for West Coast legend Nate Dogg's viewing. On the following day, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Game, Warren G and others helped pay tribute at a memorial service held at the Queen Mary Dome. On Thursday, one of our favorite chefs around, Dee Nguyen of Break of Dawn, guest chefed at The Crosby. And on Sunday, people stuffed their faces with as much sushi as possible at RA Sushi for their chance to win free food for a year.

Jed: Will he triumph?
RA Sushi in Huntington Beach held another round of Maki Madness on Sunday: 27 contestants attempted to outgorge one another on giant portions of tempura California rolls. The champ, who may look familiar if you checked out last year's contest, took home the grand prize of a year's worth of free sushi. Click here for the slideshow.

Octopus: Oatmeal-onyx rice, peanut, banana blossom and herbs.
Chef Dee Nguyen (of Break of Dawn in Laguna Hills) guest chefed at the Crosby in Santa Ana on Thursday night. Reservations were all filled, and it was a busy, busy night. Verdict? Glorious. Click here to read our recap and click here to see even more tasty images.
