William Lobdell, Greatest Religion Reporter Ever, to Speak at Tapestry UU Congregation in Mission Viejo this Sunday
This Sunday, however, is a special treat: former Los Angeles Times religion reporter William Lobdell.
We at the Weekly, of course, will forever be grateful to Bill for getting rid of Coker when he upset the blue-haired set back when Dick Nixon died, but we will always give Bill credit for covering religion better than any reporter EVER. His lecture for the Tapestry crowd is called "Is America a Christian Nation? Don't Take the Answer on Faith!" and he'll sign copies of his book, Losing My Religion: How I Lost My Faith Reporting on Religion in America and Found Unexpected Peace. Tapestry is located at 23436 Madero, Ste. 140, Mission Viejo, and service starts at 10 a.m. See you there!
