Snow In Costa Mesa?

​Snow fell this weekend in San Francisco, and it's being anticipated in the coastal foothills of Los Angeles--but could it really happen here in Costa Mesa?

According to the the weather app on the iPhone? Sure. Maybe. Possibly.

It's currently 50-degrees out there, which is something like 20 degrees too warm for actual snow (though it's apparently possible for snow to fall in 40-something degree weather when freak conditions occur), but it's nice to stare at the snowflakes on my iPhone anyway.

The high tonight is being listed at 39 degrees which puts some flurries on PCH in the realm of possibility. I, for one, welcome our new snow overlords.

What the hell is going on out there?
