Hello, Haters!

And......adios.

That's right, folks; you're reading the very last OC Register Reader Fustercluck of the Day. When I started this column, it was intended to poke fun at the fact that any story in the Register that mentioned Mexico or featured a Latino or was written by Yvette Cabrera would inevitably be followed by a comments section in which a predictable handful of dim-witted readers would engage in an impromptu racist rant about illegal immigrants being "third world scum," for example, or Mexico or Santa Ana being a "toilet" that needed to be surrounded with an electric fence like a concentration camp, with mass deportations or similar ethnic cleansing to follow.

Besides the fact that I don't enjoy spending an hour each morning reading and compiling racist comments, I feel the column has run its natural course. Part of the problem is that most of the people who actually comment on the column are the very racists who comment in the Register. I'm sick and tired of reading their comments on this column. Their remarks are not only ignorant but redundant.

I think I made this realization last week when, for what seemed like the millionth time, a reader scolded me for calling anti-Mexican remarks racist, given that "Mexican" is not a race, but a nationality. The commenter was essentially defending comments which joked about blasting illegal immigrants--referred to as "savages"--out of their smuggling boats with torpedoes. When I pointed out his bigotry, another reader chimed in with his agreement that illegal immigrants from Mexico are in fact "savages."

This inane, idiotic bullshit will continue as long as the Register continues to publish stories about illegal immigration, Mexico, Mexicans, and Latino people, to name but a few typically incendiary topics, but I for one have run out of patience for these fucking morons and plan to completely ignore them from now on.

I'd like to end this message with one last farewell to my favorite lunatic racists, whose collective drivel has provided grist for this column. So this goes out to WickedWhite, HBRealist, SurfCityRed, LouDobbs, KSliminOC, MuslimsSuck and last but not least, UncleBill, who pops up every now and again to say the exact same thing: "Gimme dat Obama money."

Have a nice life, never forget that you are all going to hell, and most importantly, don't have kids!

Nick, I will miss your column. I regret not posting more to support you. I agree, there are better things to do with your talent. Maybe you could reconsider and do the Hilarious Haters once a month. Those you mentioned are either complete lunatics or posting parodies of thenmselves. I tend to believe the former because they're far too moronic to be intentionally funny. Good luck with any future columns you do write Nick.

Instead of educating themselves about other people, religions, and cultures the ignorant like to point out differences from thier own experiences to prove thier superiority to mask thier own fear and insecurities. Silly Nick, go back to writing factually challenged "accounts" of old hippies selling acid. You need to study the difference between race, ethnicity and nationality. The rest of us figured it out awhile back.

Nick, Thx for the column and I do sympathize with how you are feeliing. I can't imagine waking up every morning and having to read the crap that the OC Rag condones. It must just be sooo fricken' draining on you ...I get away with it here at the Weekly but it's more of a lengua in cheek thing. Pero those people over there, man, WTF?. And why would a so-called legitimate publication allow that? Incredible. I truly apologize... Again, thanks for your hard work, your incredible sense of humor, patience, understading, etc. Take good care.
That's 'cuz they are libertarians. Libertarian=Applied Autism. At least they aren't sanctimonious twits who somehow believe you can simultaneously have millions of poor immigrants, high wage union jobs, and tons of open space. They are honest about wanting to screw American workers and pave over what's left of OC open space. The guys here are in the thrall of some deeply magical thinking.
Ronnie, its all a matter of proportions. For example, its just a fact that 'Latinas' in California have a very high teen birth rate, 4.5 times that of whites in this state, higher than that of whites even in the 'white trash' states of Kentucky and Arkansas. And a lot of those 'Latinas' are either immigrants (legal, illegal, who cares?) or children of immigrants. That fact -- which btw I'm sure that people like G. Arrellano love , numbers=power -- bodes ill for the state. Teen mothers equals , in general, poorly educated children, equals more poverty.
I predict the stunning revelation that Ms. Knott once personally served a chicken dinner to a Buena Park city councilman who attended one klan meeting in 1919. Hey, its the OCWeekly -- you get the investigative reporting you pay for.
And the column is a little unfair to the OCR itself, which last I checked has had a decades long editorial stance in favor of increasing legal immigration especially from Mexico. So they haven't sold some of their readers on that stance, but you haven't either.

Japan, Korea, China, none of them allow significant immigration, so there will be 'yellow' people there. Few people really want to immigrant to sub-saharan Africa , so there will be black people. Somehow, only Western countries with historically white populations are subject to mass immigration -- and that includes not only 'settler' countries but the ones where Caucasians are 'indigenous'.
