Barbara Coe Calls U.S. Federal Court Judge Vaughn Walker a 'Homo'

California Coalition for Immigration Reform head witch Barbara Coe sends so many damn e-mails to her minions that some inevitably fall behind the radiator--like the one I just found that's dated Aug. 6, 2010.

The occasion was the repealing of the anti-gay-marriage Proposition 8 by U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker. Coe received an e-mail from a friend with no subject line, leading Coe to show her anti-gay sentiments anew.

She titled the e-mail she sent out to minions, "Homo Judge Rules on Prop 8."

Okay, OC LGBT folks: We Mexis have had our wacks at her; now it's your turn...

I thought Judge Walker was indeed a homosexual or is that incorrect?

Yes Judge Walker is gay, but using the slur "homo" in her subject heading and implying his sexuality defines his judgement in this way is a crass and hateful poisoning of the well. This sort of ad homonem smearing has come from a lot of people that like to imply Judge Walker was biased. People who actually know anything about the trial know that there was no way he could have ruled any other way as the Prop * defenders presented no real case, since religious prohibitions and squemishness are not a basis for institutionalized discrimination.

Interesting that he was nominated to the bench by Ronald Reagan and that a large faction of Democrats opposed him because they perceived him as insensitive to gays and the poor. Fascinating.
