Smashed On New Year's Eve? AAA Will 'Tipsy Tow' You And Your Car Home For Free

If you don't have someone to kiss when the clock strikes midnight, you may want to consider the tow truck operators from the Auto Club of Southern California, whom on New Year's Eve, have the noble responsibility of driving your drunk asses home. 
 
Just call AAA's "Tipsy Tow" hotline at (800) 400-4AAA for a free ride for you and your car. Some fine print (to read while you're sober):

• Rides are for the drivers of the vehicles only. Your passengers will have to call their own cabs--or ride the free bus (see below).
• The "free" part is only good for up to seven miles. For longer distances, you must pay the normal towing rate.  
• The service runs from 6 p.m. Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. the next morning.

Another option for those hammered in 2011: the good 'ol bus.

The Orange County Transportation Authority is offering free bus rides on New Year's Eve starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 2:30 a.m. the next morning. For bus routes and schedules, call 714-636-7433 or visit www.octa.net.
