Warren on Dec. 1, 2008--the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day--presented Bush the first International Medal of Peace, when the pastor moved his Civil Forum from Saddleback to Washington, D.C.
Warren, of course, cast his shadow over the next presidency at his next forum, now back at Saddleback, where he hosted then-candidates and Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama.
