A judge tossed out a lawsuit brought by Chase Johnson, a former Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County cast member who claimed he should not have to pay the $43,000 bar tab he racked up at a Hollywood nightclub because the establishment knew he was only 20 at the time.

The club, My House, last month asked Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mary Ann Murphy to dismiss the suit, which was filed by Johnson and his father, Kenneth Chase, whose American Express card took the $43,000 hit.

Johnson ran up the bill during two visits to the club, one of which included a $16,000 tip.

The suit claimed two promoters promised to let Johnson into the club to drink even though they knew he was a year shy of the state's drinking age, and that no one asked for his identification during the second visit.

Chase and Johnson also sued Apple Restaurant & Lounge for knowingly serving the underage reality star alcohol. A different judge issued a default judgment for $57,200 against the West Hollywood club, reports the Orange County Register.

Johnson appeared in 2006 on MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.
